We are known for lifting ‘Virgin’ trophies – Frank Nelson

Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson has reiterated the point on how his club is known for winning maiden trophy’s and he is fully confident that the new 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Trophy will be no exception.

Hearts of Oak lifted the maiden edition of the 2004/2005 CAF Confederation cup and also won the new Glo GPL trophy in 2009,which puts them in poll position of repeating it after currently occupying the first position in the GPL.

In an interview with Sportscrusader.com after the unveiling of the new trophy for this year’s GPL, Nelson said: “we are known for winning ‘virgin’ cups and i will be very happy if we repeat previous happenings in the past, with eight matches left, it is out target to win at least six matches and it will put as in poll position of winning the GPL title.”

“I will entreat our players and fans to be focused, the technical team should be vigilant in their variations of tactics and i am sure by the end of the season we shall all be happy”.

Hearts of Oak will travel to Sogakope on Saturday in the Week 23 of the GPL to face West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) and they will hope to continue their unbeaten away run against the academy side.
