Wave your flag soccer party at Yegoala on Saturday

The countdown to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Ghana takes centre stage this weekend at the Yegoala night club in Accra with the WAVE YOUR FLAG SOCCER PARTY. Presented by Belle Entertainment and V-Sound Entertainment, the party is to create awareness of the upcoming soccer fiesta and the need for fans to get behind their teams, especially the Ghana Black Stars.**

“We are trying to cheer the Black Stars to victory, to create awareness of the need to get behind the team. Putting on the national colours and waving of the flag will put us in the mood. So we are calling everyone to make it to Dansoman on Saturday night and let’s party,” says Belinda Belle Dorledzi, CEO of Belle Entertainment.

According to the organisers, the WAVE YOUR FLAG show will become a regular feature for all national teams when they are about to take part in international competitions. The Black Princesses who will soon fly to Germany for the U-20 Women’s World Cup, will be next to enjoy the occassion which will also move from region to region.

The organisers further add that all other countries that made it to the World Cup whose people live in Ghana are also invited to join in on the fun as the countdown to June 11’s kick-off in South Africa gets underway.

Madam Dorledzi concluded with a call on Ghanaians to focus on games ahead for the Black Stars and not to read too much into yesterday’s humiliating 4-1 loss to Holland in the national team’s pre-World Cup friendly. “I don’t know why Ghanaians are losing faith so quickly. If we remember before we qualified for the World Cup in 2006, we lost our first game but bounced back to do well, the same at the World Cup.

“Nothing is lost yet, we must learn to get courage and pray for the guys to dleiver when it really matters in the World Cup,” the Belle Entertainment boss told SportsInGhana.com Attachments:
