Ghana winger Wakaso Mubarak impressed in midfield and lasted the entire duration of the game for Las Palmas who held Valencia to a 1-1 draw in the Spanish Copa Del Rey on Thursday night.

The Black Stars winger was handed a starting role by Las Palmas boss Quique Setién following his fine form in the competition and he produced yet another fine performance.

Las Palmas took an early lead through an own-goal scored by Wilfried Zahibo on the 38th minute mark but Valencia - handled by former England international Gary Neville pulled parity midway through the second-half.

Wakaso will be hoping to reach the semi-finals of the competition next Wednesday as they will seek victory over Valencia in the reverse fixture at the Estadio de Gran Canaria.

Las Palmas need either a goalless draw game or a win to progress to the semi-finals.
