WOSPAG spurs on Black Queens

Accra, March 9, GNA - The Women Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG) has urged Ghana's Black Queens to ensure total victory over their Angolan counterparts when they clash in the return leg of the qualifying series to rnsure they participate in the next Olympics Games in Beijing, China next year, at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday .

The Queens who would be playing the Angolans at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday won the first leg 2-1 in Luanda and are seeking to seal their qualification with an emphatic win on Sunday. A statement issued from the secretariat of WOSPAG charged the Queens to secure an emphatic win as a befitting birthday present to Ghanaian women and the nation as a whole on the occasion of the country's 50th Independence anniversary.

"We pray that you outwit your Angolan counterparts in a grand style. Remember that WOSPAG will rally behind you," the statement added. The Association therefore called on all female soccer fans to join their male counterparts to throng the Sunyani Coronation Park to support the Queens to win the match convincingly on Sunday. Victory for the Queens will ensure their passage to the next stage of the qualifiers where they are expected to meet the winner of the Namibia versus Democratic Republic of Congo encounter.
