Aduana Stars suffered a 1-2 defeat away to WAFA SC in the first of match day 11 fixtures of the FCPPL on Saturday.
WAFA registered their intentions of yet another famous win against second-placed Aduana Stars as early as the second minute when youngster Martin Antwi curled in a beautiful free-kick.
WAFA continued to dazzle their visitors with intricate displays but failed to turn in more goals ending the first half 1-0 at the Sogakope Park.
The much more experienced Aduana side drew level 6 minutes into second half. Richard Arhin converted a penalty awarded the visitors after piling pressure on their hosts.
Bashir Umar however found a 63rd minute goal which proved to be the match winner – lifting WAFA to third position - just a point behind second-placed Aduana who have 19 points on the league log.
