Volta Region women's league to start on May 8

The Volta Regional Women’s League Committee has set 08 May 2016 for the commencement of the regional competition.

The Committee will meet representatives of all clubs on 16 March 2016 at the Volta Regional Football Association’s (VRFA) secretariat at 9:00am on player registration and closing date of affiliation.

The resumption of the league is in line with VRFA chairman Francis Dogbatse’s promise to revive the women’s football.

The league was absent last season due to lack of funds and sponsorship.
