Vipers thrash Zakhor F/C 4-2

Cape Coast, Aug. 24, GNA - Cape Coast Harry Zakhor F/C played a highly spirited game but lost 2-4 to Cape Coast Venomous Vipers in a friendly football match played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. Zakhor F/C who has registered to participate in the central region Division Two League scheduled to kick-start in September, this year, matched Vipers boot for boot but lack of experience denied them goals. Vipers took over the attack in the 14th minute and after series of onslaughts in their opponents "18", they scored the opener through centre forward, Joseph Bentil, in the 25th minute.

But the cheers that greeted this goal had scarcely died down when outside left, Wilberf Armah equalised with a classic shot in the 30th minute.

Vipers took control once again and increased the tally through Bentil before half time.

Back from recess, Vipers netted twice through outside right Kweku Tawiah and centre half John Camara in the 67th and 69th minutes respectively to take their goal tally to four. Undaunted Zakhor F/C fought back relentlessly and reduced the tally when Armah converted a spot kick in the 85th minute.
