Vipers get assistance from Ghanaian resident in US

Cape Coast July 14, GNA-Mr Tony Hawkson, a Ghanaian resident in the

United States, on Saturday donated 18 pairs of football boots worth 12 million cedis, to Cape Coast Venomous Vipers F/C at a ceremony at the Cape Coast sports stadium.

The presentation was made on his behalf by his wife, Mrs Sophia Hawkson.

Mr Kweku Tandoh, chairman of the club who received the items thanked Mr Hawkson for his gesture, and appealed to Cape Coast citizens in the US to emulate him.

He also appealed to supporters of the club to donate either in cash or in kind, as well as sponsor some of the players to alleviate the financial problems facing the club.
