Van Der Pljuim resigns as Coach of Medeama

Hans Van Der Pljuim has resigned as Coach of Medeama SC.

The former Heart of Lions Coach handed in his resignation letter to the clubs administrative manager Ben Kesse on Tuesday morning.

The 56-year-old took charge of the Tarkwa lads four months ago as replacement for Bashir Hayford who joined AshantiGold last season.

The Dutchman’s last stint before the Medeama job was at Berekum Chelsea where he led them to the Group stages of last season’s CAF Champions League.

Van Der Pljuim has also worked with Feyenoord Academy, St Georges of Ethiopia, and AshantiGold.

XYZ Sports sources indicate that the coach resigned as a result of lack of support and interference from management. Van Der Pljuim led the FA Cup winners to eight official matches.

The mauves and yellows have picked just one win after seven-round of matches in the ongoing Premier League season. They occupy the ninth position in the sixteen club League competition with eight points going into the mid week fixture against Amidaus professionals at home.
