Valco Hall - champions of Inter-Halls

Cape Coast, Nov. 2, GNA - Valco Hall played a highly spirited game to beat Casely-Hayford Hall (Casford) 1-0 in the final soccer match to round off the Inter-Hall games of University of Cape Coast (UCC). Valco's midfielder, Awudu Illiasu scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute.

Valco Hall emerged the over-all Champions when they bagged six gold, two silver and six bronze medals. Oguaa Hall took the second position with three gold, four silver and five bronze medals while Atlantic Hall came third with two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, Adehye Hall placed fourth with one gold, three silver and two bronze medals while Casely-Hayford came fifth with one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

Disciplines competed for included soccer, volleyball, basketball, handball hockey, tennis and badminton. Dr K.A. Asamoah, Chairman of Sports Education Committee of UCC was assisted by other officials to present certificates and cash prizes to outstanding players.
