Uruguay Hold Ghana 2-2

ISMAILIA, Egypt () — Ghana drew 2-2 against Uruguay at >the Under-20 World Cup to top Group D on goal difference and avoid a potential showdown with Brazil in the knockout round.

Ghana and Uruguay finished on seven points, but Ghana's goal difference is better.

Brazil will meet Uruguay in the last 16 if it wins Group E after Saturday's final round of games.

Mohammed Rabiu and Ransford Osei scored in each half for Ghana in Ismailia, with Uruguay's captain Nicolas Lodeiro pulling a goal back in the 74th minute moments before Rabiu was sent off for a wild challenge.

Abel Hernandez poked in Uruguay's equalizer in injury time.

In Group D's other game, England finally scored and drew 1-1 with Uzbekistan and both sides finished on one point.
