Uruguay-Ghana: Quotes

Sellas Tetteh, Ghana coach

It was a very good game and a very difficult game between two of the best teams in the group. We were doing extremely well until the sending off which created a lot of problems for us, but thankfully we held on for the draw, which meant we topped the group. I thought that Uruguay scored two similar goals against us and we've got to learn from that for the next game. Playing in a tournament is about getting better all the time.

Diego Aguirre, Uruguay coach

I'm very happy with the team, we played well. We certainly finished on a high and I was pleased with that. Ghana are a very good team, but we took advantage of some mistakes they made. We wanted to win the group and stay here, but we fought back well and that's given us confidence to take into the Round of 16. Yes, it could be Brazil, who are the favourites to win this tournament, but we don't fear any side.
