Two Starlet players denied visa

Two Black starlets’ players who were scheduled to travel to Barcelona together with the U-17 Head coach Fred Osam Duodu have been denied visas by the Spanish Embassy, Solid Sports gathers.

The two, Nathaniel Asamoah and Sadiq Adams, were the only Ghanaian players invited by the technical team for the Meridian Cup match between Africa XI and Europe XI, the first leg taking place today at the Camp Nou.

According to reports gathered from the Embassy, the players were described as minors and as such Authorities at the Spanish Embassy thought they would not return if allowed to travel.

However, all efforts made by the Protocol Officer of the Ghana Football Association to convince them to that effect proved futile. Interestingly, the coach for the Africa XI team, Fred Osam Duodu was given the visa to travel and has since been in Barcelona
