Two GFA officials to serve on LOC Board

Accra, Aug. 28, GNA - The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports has appointed two officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to serve on the Board of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Ghana 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary and Mr Fred Crentsil, a member of the Executive Committee of the GFA are the two appointed officials. Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operating Officer of the LOC in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said the appointment of the two is contained in a letter signed by the Deputy Minister, Osei Bonsu Amoah under the direction of the Sector Minister, Professor Dominic Fobih. The appointment of the two brings the number of the LOC Board members to 15 with Dr Kofi Amoah as the Chairman.

The Vice-President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, inaugurated the Committee in October 2004.
