Accra, Aug. 28, GNA - Tullow Oil football team beat Home Finance Company (HFC) Bank team by a lone goal in a friendly football match at the Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp on Saturday.

Edmund Agyemang scored the only goal of the match on the half-hour mark to hand his side a famous victory over their counterparts from the financial sector.

Tullow Oil started very well and their early dominance yielded dividends when Agyemang fired them into the lead with a spectacular strike from close range.

With defeat staring at them, HFC Bank organized themselves and took charge of the game with captain Bennett Abban and Ernest Mensah leading their raids into their opponents goal area.

The entire second half belonged to HFC Bank, however, they failed to capitalize on their dominance to slot home the goals.

The match, which was at the invitation of Tullow Oil, was to encourage friendship and unity amongst staff of the two companies.

It also served as a platform to develop business relationship between the two institutions.
