Tudu Mighty Jets opts for El-WAK Stadium

Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - Premiership debutants, Tudu Mighty Jets have settled on the El-Wak Stadium as their home grounds for the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League.

The Tudu-based club gained promotion to the elite division, the first ever in the history of the club, after finishing tops of the Zonal Middle League which included Nania FC, Pure Joy FC and Tema Youth.

Samuel Suka Braimah, Chairman of the club told GNA Sports that his outfit has opted for the Military stadium for their maiden appearance.

"We have settled on the El-Wak Stadium and have communicated to the Premier League Board to that effect."

He explained that their choice was motivated by the proximity of the support base.

"El-Wak is a central point for our fans in Tudu, New Town, Nima, Maamobi and Madina."

Suka Braimah added that they are prepared for their maiden appearance in the top flight of Ghana football.

He also confirmed that veteran trainer Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie has been appointed the Technical Manager.

The 2010/2011 season is expected to commence on Sunday, September at the approved centres.
