Trainer pokes goalkeeper's eye with knife

Universal Stars goalkeeper’s trainer, Lamine, mysteriously used a knife to jab the left eye of Brong Ahafo Stars goalkeeper Kwame Tor Noah, during a Division One League game in Ghana on Wednesday.

The incident took place during the first half of a tension-packed game in Techiman when goalkeeper for Universal Stars, the home side, sustained an injury in an aerial challenge and had to be replaced.

The event that lead to the injury of the goalkeeper did not appear comprehensible to the Universal Stars goalkeeper trainer and he invaded the field to retaliate for his side.

In his own way of revenging for his injured goalkeeper, he brought out a knife and mysteriously poked the left eye of the goalkeeper causing him to bleed profusely and demanding immediate medical attention.

Officials of B/A Stars rushed the shot-stopper to the Techiman Holy Family for immediate treatment.

A recent memory of the victim (Kwame Tor Noah) is his world-class performance against Hearts of Oak in the round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup last month.

The Ghana Football Association is likely to drag officials of Universal Stars before it’s disciplinary wing as the club also stand accused of manhandling center referee for the game Francis Takyi Mensah.
