Toure named as FA Cup's MVP

Ahmed Toure, the Asante Kotoko striker has been selected as the most valuable player of the MTN FA Cup competition.

The Asante Kotoko striker beat out FA Cup final hero, Evans Omani and Lawrence Lartey both of FC Nania and Gladson Awako for the prize announced on Sunday.

Toure, thus finish the season with a double after being named the premier league's Player of the Year just last week.

Omani was voted the Discovery of the tournament while teammate, Abankwah Abrahziz, who scored from a freekick in the semi-final against Berekum Chelsea picked the goal of the tournament accolade.

For masterminding his FC Nania's debut Cup victory, former Ghana international, Abedi Ayew Pele was named Coach of the tournament.

FC Nania were presented with GHS 20,000 for the Cup while losing finalist, Asante Kotoko picked GHS 10,000.
