The goal has added to the already fast establishing reputation of the playmaker Ismaily fans are already hailing Ghana's Messi.

"I am delighted with my performance and reception from the fans so far. The goal is very good for the beginning and I hope the season starts soon," an obviously excited Torric told Allsports.com.gh exclusively from Egypt.

"The fans have been very supportive, they are happy with me and my performance. They even call me Ghana Messi," Jebrin added.

The former Hearts of Oak teenage prodigy joined the Egyptian giants this summer on a 3-year deal following four and half years in Turkey.

The date for the commencement of the new Egyptian Premier League campaign has yet to be confirmed even though late October has been suggested.
