Top scorer Baffour focused on New Edubiase job

Leading Glo Ghana Premier League top scorer Emmanuel Baffour is happy to be
banging in the goals for New Edubiase FC, however he is not setting any
goal targets for the season. Baffour who has found the net in every league
game this term, was again on target striking home the only goal as New
Edubiase defeated Mighty Jets on Match Day 4 to move third on 9 points,
just a point behind the leading Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak duo.

It brought to six the total number of goals Baffour has banged in 4 games,
prompting talks of a possible Black Stars call-up. Baffour however tells
ALL SPORTS he is focused on working harder at New Edubiase, insisting that
a national team call-up will be a welcome bonus. “If the coach invites me,
I will go and do my best. I will not say that I’m scoring in the league so
the coach must call me. He makes the selection and if he thinks it’s my
time, he will call me,” Baffour has told ALL SPORTS.

He adds: “No, I’m not going to stop (scoring goals). It’s not easy but it
all depends on the hard training that I always do. If I score one in every
game, I will take it anytime but I’m not setting any targets. All I’m
interested in is to score, I like it whenever I score.”
