Top Footballer in Police Grips

A professional footballer of Tano Bofoakwa football Club, Osei Kwame 31, is in the grips of the Kumasi Central Police for allegedly raping a 17-year old student of Prince of Peace Girls Secondary School in Kumasi.

According to Police sources on Monday, the suspect also subjected the girl to severe beatings after satisfying his extraordinary sexual desires.

The source told 'The Daily Guide' that on March 28, 2001, the victim visited the suspect in his home at North Suntreso, a suburb of Kumasi.

Osei Kwame who could not control his sexual stimulations pounced on the victim and forcibly had sex with her.

He is alleged to have subjected the victim to severe beating on the accusation that she had stolen his $135.

He then dragged the victim to the Central Police Station to be placed in police custody. But when the victim told her story and the ordeal she went through at the hands of the suspect, the complainant Osei Kwame became the accused and was immediately arrested by the police while she was issued with a police medical form to visit the hospital while the matter is being investigated.
