Former Ghana international Tony Baffoe has called on Coach Avram Grant to create a strong competition in the Black Stars team.

Many Ghanaian football fans believe players of the senior National team have been complacent which has eventually affected the performance of the team in recent times.

Ghana failed to pick maximum points at home after drawing goalless with Uganda, a result which has inflicted pressure on the team to get a good result against Egypt on Sunday.

Tony Baffoe wants to see a stiff competition in the Black Stars team.

“I think is about time he (Grant) create competition in the team. I want to see the Black Stars team in 2006 which had massive competition,” he told Class FM.

“It is important for other players to be given the chance to know what they are capable of doing.”

“That I believe will bring the sort of competition we want to see in the team.”

The Black Stars will open camp today in Dubai ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
