Ticket 'chaos' at Ghana-Brazil

Fulham yesterday defended ticketing arrangements at Craven Cottage for the international friendly in which Brazil beat Ghana 1-0 on Monday night. Thousands of fans arrived before kick-off to collect pre-ordered tickets but were greeted by chaotic scenes.

Fulham seemingly miscalculated demand, with only four members of staff on duty to check emails and credit-card details, and no police presence. A Fulham spokesman said: "A large proportion of the crowd arrived late and without tickets, and those with tickets remained on the streets, causing a congestion... However, the majority of fans eventually entered safely."
