Three-Man Contingent For World Championship

Three foreign-based Ghanaian athletes are scheduled to arrive in Edmonton, Canada on Wednesday for the world athletics championship.

The three, Felix Andam, Aziz Zakari and Margaret Simpson constitute Ghana’s contingent to the single most prestigious athletics meet in the world.

Ghana could however not send a relay team to the championship due to the unavailability of funds.

The International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) is paying for the ticket fares of the athletes from their various bases to Edmonton, Canada.
