There is nothing against Ibrahim - Ghalca

Accra, Nov. 6, gna- The Ghana League Clubs Association on Thursday said it has since October 31 been following with keep interest media reports on an audio tape of a private conversation that took place between Mr Ben Koufie, chairman of the GFA and Mr Y.A. Ibrahim, chairman of the GFA Executive Council.

In a statement released to the GNA Sports, the GHALCA said it has been worried by media reports which suggested that in the course of the conversation the two officers slammed Ghalca and described it as a useless organization.

It said the Ghalca has carried out an independent investigation into the matter and came to the conclusion that the two officers were only expressing their opinions on issues and personalities.

" Though the adverse comments made against certain personalities were regrettable, we are of the opinion that the conversation between the two gentlemen did not suggest that the Ghanalca was useless, as stated in the media."

The statement said under the circumstances " we think that Mr. Y.A. Ibrahim who is Ghalca representative on the GFA Executive Council is not liable to any sanction by the Association."
