The Fight Over "The Prince" Begins

Milan Will Have To Fight To Sign Kevin-Prince Boateng - Genoa President

Genoa are preparing to make Milan fight to sign midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng in the summer to complete a permanent move to San Siro. The Ghana international has impressed on his first season on loan from the Grifone and president Enrico Preziosi is adamant he doesn't hand out gifts.

"We will see what happens in May. [Milan Vice-president Adriano] Galliani knows that I don't hand out gifts and neither does he. It will be a great fight," Preziosi was quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He will make me an offer and I will see if it's adequate. But we have already outlined some things and that should prevent myself and Galliani from arguing over the deal," the Genoa supremo added.

Boateng will likely be rested against Bari this weekend after rushing back from a knock to face Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League in mid-week.
