The city of Sekond-Takoradi was thrown into a state of ecstasy following Medeama's historic qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.

Thousands of Medeama fans have taken to the street to celebrate the famous feat after the side managed a well-deserved 2-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns to qualify on the away-goal rule.

Several drinking spots across the city were awashed with fans with the celebration going deep into the night.

The oil city was turned upside down after the Mauve and Yellows impressive feat in the continental championship.
