Tagoe-Hoffenheim Stand-off Continues

A German Labour court has asked the four doctors, who have so far examined Ghanaian striker, Prince Tagoe to reach consensus on the player’s health. This comes after the lawyer of the striker rejected calls by the German Football Association (DFB) and German Football League (DFL) for a fifth magnetic test on the Ghanaian.

Tagoe took the German side, Hoffenheim to court over unlawful termination of his contract after the club’s doctors declared that he had heart problems.

The Ghanaian conducted a second test, which cleared him fit to play with two more tests declaring him fit.

Tagoe’s license has not been restored because Hoffenheim contested the second medical test.

In consultation with the medical commission of the German Football Association (DFB), the German Football League (DFL) appointed a university hospital professor to be the neutral medical evaluator.

However, the so-called neutral evaluator who was appointed by the DFL has been exposed as a very close friend of the Hoffenheim doctor who declared the striker as medically unfit.

This situation has caused Tagoe’s lawyer, Markus Buchburger to reject the proposal by the DFL, prompting the Labour court to order for consensus among the doctors.

Buchberger insisted that five magnetic resonance testing on the Ghanaian within three weeks could harm him.

“We do not want a new medical intervention. The independent investigator can get all the findings from all the doctors and the results could be discussed in a medical meeting.

“Tagoe has experienced in recent weeks more than three magnetic tests. This can not be healthy for the player in future,” Buchberger emphasized.

According to reports, the Ghanaian striker could be deported from Germany, if they do not restore his contract.
