Super Rainbow beats King Hussein in outstanding league match

Cape Coast based Super Rainbow, played a spectacular game to beat Mankessim King Hussein 2-0 in their outstanding second division league match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Saturday.

In a keenly contested match, Rainbow broke the deadlock in the 37th minute with a classic goal scored by outside right Paul Appiah.

Both teams resumed strongly but tragedy hit Rainbow, when their inside right James Ali and centre forward Salifu Seidu were red carded by Swedru based class one referee Michael Mansfield, for rough play, in the 48th and 75th minutes.

King Hussein wanting to take advantage of the numerical strength of Rainbow threw everything into the game earning two penalties in the 80th and 85th minutes but on each occasion they blew off the chances through half back Peter Ahmoah who took both kicks.
