Sunderland pat partners Kotoko on league triumph

English club Sunderland have sent an official congratulatory message to Asante Kotoko following the successful defence of their Premier League title, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Black Cats who are international partners of Ghanaian champions have been impressed with the side’s third successive league triumph, their 23rd overall.

Kotoko beat New Edubiase 2-1 in Berkwai on Wednesday to secure the league title with two games to spare.

Mas-Ud Dramani’s side boasts the best attacking record in the yet-t0-be concluded Ghanaian top flight having won 17 times, lost eight and drawn three so far.

Sunderland’s top hierarchy have sent a strong congratulatory message to the Ghanaian club, patting them for their impressive feat which extends their record as the most successful club in the Ghana league.

Kotoko will now be returning to the CAF Champions League once more again as champions of Ghana.
