Stevanovic keeps tabs on Arsenal's Frimpong

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic is keen on young Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong and has revealed there are plans to cap him for the future.

The 19-year old looks set to have a big season with the Gunners this season and Stevanovic says he has been observing him with an eye for a future Ghana career.

Frimpong has represented England at various junior levels but has made it clear his mind his set on playing for Ghana even after he received a call up to play for the England Under-21 this week.

"I will turn down an invitation for the England senior team when the Ghana Football Association contacts me," he said. "I hope playing for the England U-21 will wake them up."

Ghana Football Association chairman Kwasi Nyantekyie has already the football association have had contact with the player and Stevanovic is keen to keep an eye on him.

"I know the GFA is working on him and I have been looking at him as well," he told KickOffGhana.com. "He looks a good player."
