Stars Prepare for CAN'08

MTN Africa Cup of Nations hosts Ghana have set up an extensive programme of six more matches before the start of next year’s tournament.

They will also undertake a pre-tournament training camp in January in Kenya.

Ghana have already announced a friendly match against Senegal in London on August 22 and plan to return to the British capital for another friendly against Saudi Arabia on September 8, before playing Mexico in the USA four days later.

In October, the Black Stars will play two more matches, away against the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on October 6 and another game on October 9, the opponent for which still has to be fixed.

In November, Ghana intend hosting a four-nation tournament in Accra and Kumasi to inaugurate the renovated stadiums to be used for the MTN Africa Cup of Nations.

The 2008 hosts will go to a high altitude training camp in Kenya from January 4-16
