Starlets Qualify

Ghana qualified on a 4-2 goal aggregate in the African Youth Under-17 championship after drawing 1-1 with Guinea in the second leg fixture.

Emmanuel Osei, a product of division one side, Kessben FC hauled his goal tally to four in the qualifiers when he leveled up for the Black Starlets after the Guineas had gone ahead.

The young striker recorded a hat trick in the first leg over the Guineans.

The Black Starlets entered the second leg tie of the second round qualifiers with a 3-1 lead over the Junior Sylli Nationale from the first leg.

The Black Starlets would now meet the under-17 side of the Ivory Coast in the final eliminator over a two-leg tie with the winner booking a place for next year?s African Youth Under-17 championship to be hosted by Togo.
