Spartak Moscow bank hopes on Waris

Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is set to become the main man up front for Spartak Moscow following the transfer of striker Emmanuel Emenike to Fenerbahce.

The Turkish side paid 13 million Euros for the Nigerian star and his absence has made it possible for the Ghanaian to take up the first-choice role.

Emenike joined Spartak in 2011 and scored 22 times in 49 games whilst Waris who was signed from Hacken played just seven times last season without scoring due to injuries.
