Sir Jones Shocked

SIR CECIL Jones Attuquayefio has bemoaned the 60 years age-barrier which would prevent him from contesting the Black Stars? coaching race.

A committee tasked by the Ghana Football Association to hunt for a competent coach for the Black Stars, resolved to rule out coaches beyond 60 years, but Sir Jones contends, coaches aged 60 and beyond are level-headed.

Though Sir Jones, one-time Africa best coach is not worried about the appointment of a younger coach, he insists the FA committee?s criterion for selecting a competent coach for the Stars was unfortunate.

Former coach of the Stars, Ratomir Dujkovic resigned from his post a few weeks ago, and Sir Jones, among others, was touted to succeed the Serbian.

However, Coach Attuquayefio would, as such, miss the opportunity of coaching the Stars, should the committee?s decisive factor remain unchanged.

Coach Attuquayefio, currently the head coach of the Black Meteors, as well as Liberty Professionals, is expected to give way to the likes of Marcel Desailly, Ruud Gullit, and Ralf Zumdick, to contest the enviable post.

Sir Jones is now tipped to be handed the position of the FA technical directorship.
