Shakhtar Still Undecided With Kufuor & Addo

As we reported earlier Valeri Yaremchenko was present during the World Cup qualifying game Ghana-Nigeria (0:0). Shakhtar Donetsk assistant coach has attended that game in order to watch current Donetsk players - Nigerians Aghahowa and Okoronkwo, as well as Ghana players who reportedly interest Ukrainian Vice-Champions - midfielder Emmanuel Osei-Kufuor and forward Ishmael Addo.

Here is what Mr. Yaremchenko had to say about players on his return to Ukraine.

"(Despite the fact that Nigeria has dominated this match) Ghana national team is a serious opponent for any team. As to "our" players - Okoronkwo didn't play, and Aghahowa appeared in the second half, and in my opinion played well.

"To tell anything about players that interest us based on one match is impossible. They played a decent game but no more than that. At least their actions haven't made any impact on the outcome. But then again - Ghana had to defend majority of the time.

"We need more time to get to know them better. We haven't made up our mind yet. Likely we will invite them for trials to Donetsk."

Interesting answer coach assistant gave to the question concerning how the players themselves view their possible transfer to Shakhtar.

"Well, how else can they react to such a possibility - off course positively"
