Shaibu Yakubu joins Petrojet on a two year deal

Former Ashanti Gold hit-man Shaibu Yakubu has joined Egyptian side, Petrojet FC on a two year deal.

The 28 year old attacker completed his move on Wednesday after passing his medical at the Egyptian outfit and he will be leading the attack of the Suez based club in the ongoing Egyptian season.

Shaibu Yakubu during his days in the Ghana premier league, won the top scorer award in the year 2003 and was part of the Black Meteors team that won bronze at the 2003 All Africa Games held in Nigeria.

Yakubu has previously featured for host of Europeans clubs like, Turkish sides, Kartalspor, 1461 Trabzon and Cypriot side Enosis Neon Paralimni.

However, he will be making a return onto the Africa continent for the first time in 8 years after leaving the Obuasi based club in 2007 to Turkish side Hacettepe S.K
