Senegal squad for friendly against Ghana

DAKAR, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Senegal have named two new players from French clubs in a 20-man squad for a friendly match against Ghana on August 16.

New coaches Abdoulaye Sarr and Amara Traore, who have replaced the dismissed Frenchman Guy Stephan, have called up Rennes reserve goalkeeper Cheikh Tidiane Ndiaye and 18-year-old Olympique Marseille forward Rachmane Barry for the match to be played at Reading in England.

The coaching duo have also recalled English-based Amdy Faye of Newcastle United and new West Bromwich Albion signing Diomansy Kamara. .

Next Tuesday's match serves as warm-up for Senegal's key World Cup qualifier away in Zambia on September 3 which the west Africans must win to keep up any hopes of a place n the World Cup finals in Germany next year. Senegal were quarter-finalists at the last World Cup in Japan and South Korea.
