Schools & College Team Beat Oguaa United

Cape Coast Sept. 4, GNA-Central region schools and college combined team beat Oguaa United 2-0 in a friendly football match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Monday.

The students who are in camp for the past one month preparing for the national schools and college sports festival at Ho attacked first and opened the scoring as early in the 5th minute through centre forward, Samuel Inkoom.

Oguaa United returned the attack and dominated the game but all their efforts to find the equaliser were foiled by the defence of the combined team.

United resumed strongly and in the 60th minute made two changes but that did not deter the combined team from raising the tally to 2-0 through inside left Stephen Gurah in the 85th minute. Gurah after collecting a pass outwitted two defenders before sealing the doom of United.
