Schlupp in contention for goal of the season award

Ghanaian international Jeffery Schlupp is in contention for the goal of the season at Leicester City.

Schlupp’s well-taken strike against Norwich City has been nominated to compete for the best goal award at the Club this season.

The 23-year-old, who was also nominated for the young player of the season award, scored a brilliant goal to earn his side an important 3 points away from home in December last year.

The left-back made a solo run from defense with the ball and found Frenchman N’golo Kante, who laid on a nice through ball for the Ghanaian to finish off with a wonderful left-footed strike.

His goal, however, comes up against Jamie Vardy’s wonderful volley from 35-yards which is also in contention for goal of the season as well as Riyad Mahrez’s strike against Manchester City.

Shinji Okazaki, Robert Huth, Wes Morgan and Leonardo Ulloa are all in the race for the goal of the season award.
