Schlupp doubtful for Southampton clash

English Premier League leaders Leicester City are likely to be without Jeff Schlupp for their game against Southampton with club insiders claiming he suffered an injury while playing for Ghana.

The talented utility player has been declared doubtful for the game because of a knee problem he is claimed to have suffered while playing for the Black Stars over the weekend.

Schlupp played the entire duration of the Ghana match with Mozambique in Maputo on Sunday without showing any signs of injury.

However reports from England say he suffered the injury on international duty with Ghana.

If this report proves to be true he could miss out when the Saints come to the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Leicester City are seeking to extend their lead at the top of the England Premier League as they are the surprise league leaders.

Provisional squad: Schmeichel, Schwarzer, Simpson, Morgan, Moore, Fuchs, Huth, Gray, Dyer, Wasilewski, Schlupp, King, Kante, Inler, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Albrighton, Vardy, Ulloa, Okazaki.
