Schalke 04 spank Zakkour FC

Cape Coast Feb.24, GNA - Abura Odonase Schalke 04 played a spectacular game to spank Cape Coast Zakkour FC 3-0 in the Central Region second division sub - middle league match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Monday.

Schalke 04 showed their determination to carry the day when they took an early lead through a free kick expertly taken by midfielder, Adu Gyamfi after referee Dan K. Aidoo whistled for proceedings to commence. Undaunted by the early lead, Zakkour accepted the challenge and threw everything into attack and threatened the goal area of the visitors but their top striker, Alex Okumpon threw away all the chances that came his way.

On resumption after the first half, Schalke 04 improved on their game and took absolute command of the game and it came as no surprise when they increased the tally to two goals through inside left Michael Gyimah in the 59th minute.

Schalke 04 continued to pile pressure on Zakkour FC and it was a matter of course when outside right Mohammed Iddrisu raised the tally in the 71st minute to give his side a commanding three nil win to boost their chances in the sub-middle league.

Hardworking Iddrisu made sure victory was certain for his side when after collecting a pass from the mid field he outpaced two defenders to seal the doom of the homesters.
