Satellites' victory is good omen for Ghana-Foundation

Kumasi, Feb.4, GNA- The Atta Mills Foundation, a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), has congratulated the Black Satellites for winning the just-ended Under-20 African Youth Championship in Rwanda. The Foundation stated that the victory was a good omen for the country and that, it should spur Ghanaians on to strive for greater heights in their socio-economic as well as political endeavours to benefit the nation.

This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by Togbui Mawufeame Fugah, Life Patron of the Foundation, and issued in Kumasi on Tuesday.

"The Foundation is hopeful that the victory would not make the Satellites complacent but would work harder in all departments of the game to enable them emerge champions at the impending FIFA World Under-20 Youth Tournament in Egypt this year", the statement noted. It pointed out that just as the players worked in unity to achieve their aims so should Ghanaians put aside their individual differences in what ever they did and be supportive of each other for the realization of our aims, stressing that it was high time Ghanaians saw the victory as an achievement for all to help further develop the sports sector.
