Satellites leave for Ouagadougou

Ghana's national Under-20 side, the Black Satellites will leave their camp base in Bolgatanga today for the first leg qualifier of the Africa Youth Championship in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on Saturday.

The Satellites have been camping in the Upper East capital to acclimatize with the weather pattern, which is similar to that of Ouagadougou around this season.

The national Under-20 team reached this stage, which is the last qualifying round after edging Senegal out on a 4-1 goal aggregate.

Satellites coach, Francis Oti Akenteng, has seen his squad being bolstered with the arrivals of Israeli-based striker, Sadat Bukari and Asante Kotoko's Mark Adu-Amofa.

The next Championship will be hosted by Congo Brazzaville early next year, while the World Youth Championship is to be hosted by Canada in June 2007.
