Italian side Sassuolo are seeking to sign Ghana midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan on a permanent basis for a reported 6.5 million Euros.

Duncan enjoyed a fabulous run at the club on loan last season, prompting Sassuolo to make the deal permanent.

The talented Ghanaian youngster joined Inter Milan in 2012 but was farmed out on loan to Livorno.

The Ghana international was subsequently sent out on his second loan spell to Sassoulo last term where he shone.

Calcionews24 are reporting an agreement has been reached between Sampdoria and Sassoulo for the player to be bought outright for a fee believed to be in the region of 6.5 million Euros.

Duncan is highly-rated after his explosive season in Italy where he has impressed so far.
