Sammy Adjei joins new Danish outfit

Former USA youth international and Ghana under-20 trainee Sammy Adjei Jr has completed a one-year deal to Danish side Næstved Boldklub, footy-Ghana.com can reveal.

The 21-year-old striker joins the Danish side following a successful short three-month stint with Division 2 side Sydvest 05 where he netted 6 times in 9 games with 2 assists.

Speaking to footy-Ghana.com, the former New York Red Bulls trainee, who has featured for the US at under-14 and 18 levels, expressed delight about his oncoming adventure.

"I'm happy to have signed with Næstved Boldklub,” he told footy-Ghana.com on Thursday night.

“The club has a lot of ambition and I'm looking forward to working with my new coach and teammates in order to reach those goals,” Adjei added.

The southern Zealand club, who are currently second on the Danish Division 2 West league log behind Marienlyst and certainly almost sure of promotion to the Danish 1st Division would be hoping Adjei brings his goals to bear when the chase for top-flight Superliga promotion begins next season.
