SA experts to work on Prampram Pitch

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited experts from South Africa to work on the playing pitches at the Ghana Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

The move is to bring the pitch to international standards to enable the various national teams train on them.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the GFA, said, he was impressed with the output of the experts during one of his visits to South Africa, hence the decision to extend invitation to them to work on the pitch.

According to Nyantakyi, the decision to hand over the pitch to the South African experts was based on the huge work load on Green Grass Technology (GGT) – the company currently working on some pitches at the Center.

“GGT have a lot of work on them and giving them another contract will burden and affect their efficiency level.

“They are already working on a number of pitches at Prampram so we decided to give the South African company the opportunity to work on the pitch.” He stated.

Nyantakyi was confident the pitch at Prampram will be up to the required standard by next year.
