Richard Gadze and Anthony Annan helps HJK to secure vital win

Ghana duo Richard Gadze and Anthony Annan are on the verge of qualifying to the Europa League Group stages after defeating Swedish Club IFK Göteborg 2-1 away from home in the play-offs round on Thursday evening.

Both players were handed a start by their manager and displayed an excellent performance to ensure HJK secure a vital win at the Nya Gamla Ullevi in Göteborg.

Gadze, 21, operated at the left hand side of attack and lasted 87 minutes before making way for Obed Malolo.

Annan however played full throttle and went into the referee’s books in the 81st minute for a reckless challenge on an opponent.

HJK will host IFK Göteborg in the return encounter next week.
