Renard tips Ghana to floor Egypt

Zambia coach Herve Renard has tipped Ghana to see off Egypt in the 2014 World Cup play-offs.

The Black Stars have been paired against the Pharaohs in the final round of qualifying games to determine who picks one of the five slots for Africa at the World Cup in Brazil.

The two will square off in a two-legged play-offs in October and November and after edging out his Zambian side from the race, the Frenchman believes the Ghanaians are poised for a third successive global showpiece appearance.

“All the best to the Black Stars; all the way to Brazil,” Renard said to Goal Ghana. “Egypt is the toughest opponent you could draw, but you will do it.”

Renard was part of the backroom staff of Claude Le Roy in 2008, when the latter was coach of the Black Stars.
