Red Bull Soccer Academy to participate in Under-17 tourney

Accra, June 1, GNA - The Under-17 side of the Red Bull Academy, Sogakope will on June 12, travel to

Salzburg, Australia to participate in an Under-17 soccer tournament, dubbed the "Next Generation Trophy

2010". The event which is in its 2nd Edition, will have eight teams drawn from Europe vying for honours

according to information gathered by the GNA Sports. The teams are the defending champions, Dynamo Zagreb from Croatia, FC Zurich, Switzerland, Red Bull

Academy (Austria), RC Lens - France, Werder, Germany, Copenhagen FC - Denmark, Red Bull Academy -

Brazil and Ghana. The tournament will commence on June 18 and end on June 20, but the players will be subjected to

thorough medical screening before the start of the event. Among the officials making the trip for Ghana's side are Daniel Heidemann (coach), Gareth Henderby -

Assistant Coach, Peter Wohere Physiotherapist, Karim Kudayah - Team Manager. The playing body is made up of Gleku Devine, Ofori Eric Antwi - Goalkeepers, Prince Agyemang, Abdel

Bouraima, Gnange Robin, Patrick Twumasi, Richard Opoku, Isaac Ofori, Jonathan Sacker, Issah Sayibu,

Joseph Cudjoe, Daniel Ndi, Pascal Medang, Richard Asiamah, Augustine Okrah, Geraldo Selorm, David Atoko,

Aboubakar Oumarou and Steven Oum. Four other players made up of Emmanuel Offei (Captain) Ishmael Hammond, Matike Jean Colbert

Distefano and Felix Adjei will join the team in Austria as they are currently on trials in Europe.
